👋

Hi, I'm Chris. Designing creative tools and shaping how they’re built.

A portrait of a cheerful man with curly hair and beard, smiling widely, showing white teeth. He has dark, short, curly hair, and a groomed beard. Freckles are visible on his face and he's wearing a black crew neck sweater. The background is a warm, neutral tone.

Currently I lead design for AI-powered video tools at Adobe and create physical spaces for art, community, and experimentation through Gallery House.

My work sits at the intersection of aesthetics, ethics, and care. I'm happiest shaping tools and environments that help people create with confidence and agency.

What I’m focused on now

Gallery House

Gallery House is an artist-led exhibition space shaped by domestic scale, intimacy, and experimentation. It began as a living-room gallery in Brooklyn. The program centers emerging and mid-career artists working across painting, sculpture, installation, sound, photography, and performance. Exhibitions are often site-responsive, shaped by the constraints of lived-in spaces, and developed in close dialogue with artists, allowing risk, conversation, and forms of presentation that wouldn’t be welcome in a conventional white cube.

Openings function more like a gathering than the sterile spectacle of a traditional one. Sales matter, but they are not the primary motivation. The priority is long-term relationships with artists, careful placement of work, and audiences built through trust rather than scale. As the gallery grows beyond a single residence, it remains committed to these values.

This is where my interests in art, community, and responsibility come together, and where I’m actively investing creative attention. @galleryhouse.nyc

Work

Adobe

Lead design across Adobe’s next-generation of video tools, with a focus on democratizing professional creative tools, AI-native workflows, and craft-centric experiences.

This past year, I helped ship: Premiere iOS, Firefly web video editor, Firefly native app, and a partnership with YouTube Shorts. Previously at Adobe, I led design of Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Acrobat web.

My role connects vision and execution: naming direction early, creating clear strategic context, protecting quality under pressure, supporting teams through delivery, and taking products from zero to industry-leading. I care deeply about building durable and high-performing design teams and cultivating an open and inclusive creative culture. My team's principles: Be growth minded, sweat the details, and have fun doing it.

Personal

Art practice

Alongside product design, I maintain an ongoing art practice that includes drawing, painting, and photography. I’m currently drawn to contemporary watercolor and figurative work.

In addition to a regular art practice, I'm interested in designing spaces and currently studying Exhibition Design at the Pratt Institute. GalleryHouse is the public expression of this commitment, but the practice itself is quiet, sustained, and essential.

Running

Running has been part of my life for many years. I’ve completed 21 marathons and ultras and train year-round. Long runs, easy miles to coffee and pastries, or track workouts with friends, I still cherish every time I get to go out for a few miles.

Meditation

I maintain a long-term meditation practice and occasionally facilitate sitting and walking meditation at Rock Blossom community of mindfulness in Brooklyn, New York.

Contact

I’m open to conversations around creative leadership, AI and video, exhibitions, teaching, and long-form projects. If something here resonates, feel free to reach out.
